  Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food came within 10 minutes of ordering, satisfied with quality. Decoration a bit tired. Ran out of some cask ales and some deserts, might have been busy due to bank holiday. Can't comment on the carvery as it had finished when we got there. All said and done we are going back early in the morning for the all-you-can-eat breakfast.

  Nope, it was perfect and hit the spot. The poached egg was bang on. Also was given a sandwich for the road. We need more places with staff like this in the world...

  Terrible service, this is the second time we have had bad service. First time the sausages were burnt beyond belief. Second time we ordered our food and we were made to wsit 15 mins standing at the bar trying to order then when we made our order the wait was so long (45mins) when the food arrived it was all wrong I ordered curry which arrived with burnt poppadoms and no rice. My friend ordered a burger with no mayo when it arrived it came with mayo and no cheese sauce. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries which never turned up. When the waiter came back to the table we made him aware then he left to go and sort it out and 20mins later he didnt return I went to go and find him when I did he told me the cheese sauce was extra I told him it wasnt as the menu stated it came with I also told him about the rest. So I went back to our table waited around 15-20 mins and no joy . Our food was cold so I waited at the bar to complain but it took so long for anyone to help so I left then emailed and have heard nothing back beyond terrible
